HPMF Convention 2017 destined to set new milestones
Hospitality Purchasing Managers’ Forum (HMPF) is all set to make yet another impactful presence at Jodhpur during its 7th Anniversary Celebrations, Convention and Awards. Over 250 Purchase Managers from all over India, Dubai, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and the UAE will participate in a unique concept of ‘Seven Elements of the Universe’ whereby professionals representing different organisations will be brought together on one platform so as to ensure that their synergy, coordinated efforts and the passion leads to a better environment in hospitality procurement.
“HPMF 7th Anniversary Celebrations, Convention and Awards 2017 will set new milestones for industry associations and industry at large. We will be attempting a record as well which no one has ever attempted and hopefully will enter into the book of records,” said Nitin Nagrale, founder and general secretary of HPMF.
In the pipeline are presentations on latest trends in organic procurement and on future of hospitality procurement. Besides various other activities like B2B meetings which have been lined up, some of the topics which will be presented by industry experts during the three-day convention include Way Forward for the Purchasing Manager, Green Hotels, Organic Procurement and Tips for being a Successful Buyer. In addition, there will be presentations by industry leaders on topics relating to FSSAI, Human Resource management, Environmental aspects, etc.
“The energy and enthusiasm of all participants has reached its peak and everyone is looking forward to experience the convention and hospitality we are known for. It is tough to raise the bar every year,” informed Nitin Nagrale.
The last day of the convention will be followed by a glittering award ceremony for Procurement Excellence in Hospitality Industry. Some of the award categories for which Procurement professionals will be felicitated include: Emerging Procurement Person of the year, Male Procurement Person of the year, Female Procurement Person of the year, Best Hospitality Procurement Team, Best Sustainable Development Sensitive Procurement Team, The Living Legend Award and Lifetime Achievement Award.
To commemorate the occasion, HPMF will be unveiling its new interactive website and will also release a book Basics of Hospitality Procurement written by 22 authors who are part of the industry and are working in different organisations as head of procurement.
To mark the occasion HPMF will be signing an agreement with Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) for training and development of its members. “THSC and HPMF will be formally signing an agreement to tie-up for the betterment of the HMPF members and the community at large. We jointly will work out strategies and chalk out a three-year plan for training and development of our members. This is a real milestone for HPMF,” claimed Nitin Nagrale.
Speaking about the tie-up, Vivek Saggar, Head Business Development at THSC said, “We are looking forward to a long term association with HPMF. This tie-up will ensure that the procurement managers are better equipped for the future markets.”
The Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council is promoted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) with an inclusive representation of the Government, Industry, Industry Associations and Training Institutes across India, with financial support from National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
